5.17 Emanuele Lacca Traditio e intentio. L’Aristotelis Logica Magna di Juan Sanchez Sedeño (1552-1615)

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the connections between the medieval concept of intentio and its relations with Juan Sanchez Sedeno’s Aristotelis Logica Magna (1600). Sanchez Sedeno’s theory can be considered as a paradigmatic example of a renewed view of the traditional concept of intention to correspond the new philosophical perspectives of late XVIth century Spain.
