10.8 Iolanda Poma – Uomo-natura: dalla dipendenza al vincolo

Starting from ecological and environmental emergency, this paper examines man’s relationship with nature, in its dynamics and history. The sense of their interdependence is provided by their respective meanings, that are not reducible to human survival or natural self-preservation. Human freedom recognizes in the natural necessity a model able to limit human’s congenital defect that is arbitrariness; and, illuminated by freedom, nature reveals a face of her necessity, able to get in dialogue with freedom. Mutual dependence is then reformulated in terms of a bond in which the experience of the Good is embodied.
